Why are all our heroes fighting each other… Batman vs Superman. Captain America: Civil War, Suicide Squad, Daredevil vs Punisher, X Men: Apocalypse, Democrats vs Republicans, Blacks vs Whites… Are we losing our minds?
It seems that we are in another “Civil War” even though the sides are blurred, the uniforms haven’t been selected and the boundaries are overlapping between the states. We haven’t quite deteriorated to taking up arms, but I wonder sometimes with the level of rage I see in protests and rallies just how far we are from that. Are we losing our minds?
Have we forgotten just who we are? The land of the free and the home of the brave?
One thing is for certain, in my opinion, we have forgotten who our forefathers and our God intended for us to be. We are not only fighting among ourselves, we are making hero’s villains and villains hero’s. Maybe that’s why Suicide Squad and X Men are so appealing to the masses. It seems that we are taking the most degenerate and making them our icons. Are we losing our minds?
In a few days Donald Trump will become the 45th President of the United States and at the time of this writing it is said that 700,000 will be in Washington D.C. to protest his inauguration.
Donald Trump’s tagline is “Make America Great Again” #MAGA, and he has been severely criticized for that statement??? He’s duly elected, Russia didn’t influence the masses of working Americans that turned out to vote, no matter how many times Lewis and others scream it out in protest. Have we lost our minds?
I have remained largely silent on so much that has happened in the past 6 months and my blog has lain idle. I can remain so no longer. I have wrestled with the purpose of this site and blog, and am still uncertain as to exactly what that purpose is. However, I am certain that when good men are silent, evil flourishes. Adam, Abraham, Lot, Isaac and the Biblical list of examples goes on… Men who just went along, to get along. Men who condoned the action around them by simply remaining silent.
I am an American. I have an opinion. My vote and my voice count. I haven’t yet completely lost my mind.
Yesterday President Obama commuted the sentence of Bradley Edward Manning. Manning would have been eligible for parole in 2021. Convicted of violations of the Espionage Act after disclosing nearly 750,000 classified and unclassified documents, cables and videos, and being convicted of 21 charges of the Espionage Act, he was sentenced to serve 35 years in prison. The day after sentencing Bradley announced to the world that he felt like a woman… After interacting with the other detainees at Fort Leavenworth for 2 years, I have no doubt. There are so many things wrong with this entire story that I haven’t time to get into them all. Like for instance when Manning was at Fort Huachuca he was reprimanded for posting videos on YouTube describing the inside of a classified facility. Red flag anyone?
I can’t help but wonder if this villain would be in the news, would be turned into a hero by so many, if he had not declared himself to be a woman? Chelsea Manning. It would seem President Obama takes exhilaration being the champion of all that is homosexual or transgender. And now, I, the red-blooded American taxpayer, am the bad guy for not wanting to pay for his gender reassignment therapy, hormone medication, and reassignment surgery… For believing that God never makes a mistake, and no matter how you feel, you are, or you aren’t “as you feel” but as you are created by Almighty God biologically. And America, still losing her mind, continues to make choices that are blatantly against what God intended. And we continue to make heroes villains and villains heroes… And wrong right, and right wrong… And we continue to be divided, no longer heeding the cry “United We Stand… Divided We Fall”.
Ah, but I must confess, as long as America is on the pathway of debauchery that she seems to have selected these past eight years, I too will take a divergent pathway. I won’t keep silent. For I haven’t forgotten my roots… I still believe in “One Nation Under God” and I haven’t quite yet lost my mind.
